Challenging public views on prisons and justice

This month the Centre for Crime and Justice Studies will be releasing a documentary film called ‘Injustice’, designed to challenge the public view of prisons and justice and present a case for a social basis for crime. The film was inspired by a chance meeting with an ex-prisoner called Gethin Jones. After Gethin explained his childhood, background, imprisonment, release and return to prison, his experience came to form the basis for the film’s investigation.
